Scientific Handwriting Analysis!
Hi All. I'd like to talk about handwriting, MY handwriting specifically because in my case it has been proven that handwriting -- like the eyes -- is a window to the soul and a path back to one's true self. This up until very recently was the way I would write my name:

No, I am not left handed, but that was everyone's first question because of the definite leftward slant to my script. It's so obvious now and yet for years I was oblivious to it. I simply took it for granted that that was me. Until the evening I took a handwriting analysis from an expert who'd "set up shop" at a friend's birthday party. I thought it would be fun, I was game, so at her urging I provided my signature. She was surprised that I printed. "For as long as I can remember" I rejoined. She seemed deeply disturbed and asked me to provide an example of both my printed signature and my cursive. Compare for yourself. Be an expert. Listen to your intuition. "Your printing is disjointed" she began "Look at your capital 'I's'. 'I' is who you are. Your 'I' is like the Tower card in a tarot deck. The tops are disconnected, in disarray. It's coming apart, falling over, no center. It's too liberal. You're all over the place." She specifically pointed out the left leaning quality of my words:
"This is not you. Your signature is that of another person. There is no order, no natural flow." She contrasted it with my cursive:
"You see? Here is connection. The 'I' is erect, confident, assured, beautiful. This is you. You naturally flow to the right. Right is right for you. Ordered, natural." She suggested I write cursive for one month. It felt awkward and coltish at first, but soon leaving left leaning printing behind felt like breaking a very bad habit. I am now rehabilitated and feel more in the RIGHT flow. There is an assured clarity to everything I do. And it started with writing my own name. |
